David Townsend is Senior Vice President, Fidelity National Financial Family of Companies. David manages FNF's Agency Operations in the MidWest, MidSouth, Texas, Southwest, and West.
Prior to joining FNF he founded and was CEO at Agents National Title Insurance Company. Mr. Townsend is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law and Drury University and has many years of experience in the areas of real estate and title law. He has taught Title Insurance Practice at the University of Missouri School of Law and is a speaker for the American Land Title Association, Mortgage Bankers Association, October Research Seminars and other continuing education seminars. He is a current member of the American Land Title Association’s Board of Governors and the Chairman of the Underwriters Section.
Townsend is the author of the Missouri Bar Insurance Practice Series: “Title Insurance” and the Missouri Bar Journal article “Mechanics Lien Law: Section 429.016 establishes New Notice Requirements.” He was awarded the National Title Professional designation in 2013 by the American Land Title Association. He is married to Kerry Townsend, has one daughter, Blair and one son, Charlie, and lives in Columbia, Missouri.
